Travel eSIM Settings Installation process, APN settings
This page is for eSIM settings. Please refer to the following link for physical SIM card activation instructions.
Setup procedures
Please make sure to follow the steps below to install the eSIM and activate your
data service.

Important notes before you install the eSIM profile
- The 5G Unlimited eSIM can be installed abroad before you arrive in Japan. However, some device models may display an error message since the eSIM cannot be activated outside of Japan.
- A stable internet connection is required to install the eSIM.
- The eSIM can only be installed once. DO NOT DELETE OR REMOVE the eSIM from your device after it has been installed, as the QR code can only be used one time.
Installation Steps
- Turn off any other eSIMs or physical SIMs besides ours.
- Connect to a stable WiFi network. If you're at the airport, you can use the airport’s WiFi.
- Issue the eSIM QR code so it is displayed on the screen.
- Scan or long press the QR code with the phone on which you want to install the eSIM. The installation will then begin.

Important notes before you install the eSIM profile
- Your data plan’s validity starts immediately once the eSIM receives signal in Japan.
- To successfully install the eSIM, a stable Internet connection is required.
- The eSIM can only be installed once. DO NOT DELETE/REMOVE your eSIM from your device after the successful installation.
Installation Steps
- Turn off any other eSIMs or physical SIMs besides ours.
- Connect to a stable WiFi network. If you're at the airport, you can use the airport’s WiFi.
- Issue the eSIM QR code so it is displayed on the screen.
- Scan or long press the QR code with the phone on which you want to install the eSIM. The installation will then begin.
- Complete the APN settings to enable cellular data. You will need to create an APN profile and enter the values provided below. Check the video below or the PDF guide for more details and visuals.

- The eSIM can only be used on the device it was originally installed on. It can be reinstalled but cannot be transferred to another device.
